With huge thanks to the Australia Council for the Arts, this August I will be travelling to my second Heimat, Germany, for an epic research trip and to present a programme of new Australian works for the baroque violin in the Open Space at Darmstadt Internationale Ferienkurse für neue Musik. Queen’s Birthday weekend is coming up so it’s time for the 12th instalment of the Woodend Winter Arts Festival! Lots of J S Bach for me this year with the magnificent Magnificat and Lobet Gott in seinen Reichen from the Ascension Oratorio. German cosiness in the middle of June- don’t miss it!
