In this FREE concert directed by Stephen Grant, I’ll be leading an ensemble with soloists from the Early Voices of Melbourne University, in a concert featuring music by the great English composer Henry Purcell, including the Ode for St Cecilia’s Day entitled ‘Welcome to all the Pleasures’.
UPDATE: Here we go again… It is with the deepest regret that we announce the cancellation of our upcoming Chelys Germanica concert in Beechworth on Sunday 6th June. We were so looking forward to getting back on stage, but with the uncertainty over the length of the current lockdown, it is impossible to proceed. As concerts slowly start to pick up, Harken Well heads back to beautiful Beechworth for a wintry programme of German Baroque music this June. Join us in the glorious Beechworth Town Hall for works by Schmelzer, Rosenmüller, and Froberger, among others!
