‘To Kill A Magic We Got Used To’, MAE at Big Jazz Day Out – 21st March 2026

If Stravinsky, jazz, hip hop, spoken word, or experimental improv are your thing, then you should probably head over to Monash University’s Big Jazz Day Out this March to hear Monash Art Ensemble’s interpretation of AAO AD Aaron Choulai’s new work, To Kill a Magic We Got Used To. Aaron describes the work as “a reimagining of L’Histoire du soldat for a digital age”, and it was a blast to premiere it at the Athaneum with AAO last year, so this performance is sure to impress.

In Recital – 29th March 2026

Bendigo audiences are so excellent that Bendigo Symphony Orchestra is branching out this year with its inaugural In Recital concert series. For the first concert, I have the pleasure of joining BSO Conductor/AD and ‘cellist extraordinaire Luke Severn, and long-time BSO soloist and incredible pianist Elyane Laussade for a programme of 18- & 19th-C Germanic chamber works. We’ll be playing in the classical grandeur of the Capital this Autumn, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

Full concert details and booking via The Capital website here, and join up to the BSO mailing list to stay up-to-date with details of all the upcoming concerts in the series.
